Sleeper Media is seeking an Event Manager to lead on the delivery of the AHEAD Awards.

We are the leading media brand in the international hospitality design industry.

We create world-class events and magazines, serving an audience of highly influential creatives who deliver incredible hospitality experiences for their guests around the world.

Our products live up to the high expectations of the people who design and develop hotels across the globe – from the coolest new boutique properties to the highest levels of luxury.

Sleeper Media Portfolio:
AHEAD:
A global awards platform for hospitality experience and design, comprising annual awards ceremonies in Singapore, New York, Dubai, London and a Global finale.

Sleeper Sessions:
A two-day programme comprising of a series of meetings and seminar sessions to connect specifiers and suppliers. Previously held in Mykonos, upcoming events Danang and Dubrovnik.

Sleepover Events for Hotel Innovators:
An annual networking event with a peripatetic nature, previously held in Berlin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Istanbul, Miami, Barcelona, Brooklyn and Ibiza.

Sleeper Magazine:
The leading international B2B publication for hotel design

Supper Magazine:
B2B publication for global hotel F&B

Starboard Magazine:
B2B publication for mobile hospitality in all its forms – on water, on land and in the air.

This role will suit someone looking to build on their current experience in event management.

Comfortable handling everything from spreadsheets to speaker liaison, travel schedules to table plans.

Able to grasp the financial bigger picture, whilst keeping a keen eye on the cost budget to deliver a healthy GP.

Equally capable of working independently, internally or with our many trusted partners around the world.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Commercial Lead, the Event Manager will carry out a variety of tasks to ensure our reputation for delivering fantastic awards ceremonies across the globe is maintained.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Event Management:
Working with the Sleeper team and external stakeholders of all kinds on ensuring the successful creation, communication, and execution of the awards programme.

Event Production:
Working with production companies, hotels, host venues and other stakeholders to produce our events to the highest standards.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Ensuring that the expectations of our sponsors and guests are met whilst maintaining the integrity of our events.

Budgetary Planning:
Working with the Commercial Lead to create and manage event budgets. Working to identify and deliver revenue growth.

Guest Liaison:
Communicating essential information to guests, requesting assets, and handling day-to-day enquiries.

Venue Liaison:
Negotiating with venues, hotels, and suppliers. Working with them to produce the event. Researching new venues for future events.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Educated to GCSE level or above.
• A proven track record in event management (minimum 3years).
• Experience of event administration particularly in a B2B context
• An understanding of budgeting and commercial awareness.
• Able to sustain performance under pressure.
• Be willing and able to undertake overseas travel (non-negotiable)

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience working within an international environment.
• Experience of managing awards schemes and / or conference programming.
• Experience in coordinating virtual conferences/large scale virtual group meetings.
• Familiarity with e-marketing systems.
• Experience of working with Keynote.
• Additional and relevant qualifications, languages, or computer skills
